Welcome to Catlangu! To ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for all users, please follow these Community Guidelines when using our Language Practice platform.

Age Requirements & Eligibility

  • Mandatory Age Verification: All users must be at least 18 years old to access this platform. No exceptions.
  • Age Verification Required: Users must verify they are 18+ during registration. False age representation results in immediate permanent ban.
  • Educational Purpose: This platform is designed for adult language learners seeking conversation practice and cultural exchange.
  • Zero Tolerance for Minors: Any suspected underage users will be immediately suspended pending investigation and permanently banned if confirmed.

1. Respectful Communication

  • Be Courteous: Treat every user with courtesy and kindness.
  • Polite Language: Use polite language; harassment, insults, hate speech, or bullying are strictly prohibited.
  • No Profanity: Avoid profanity or slurs targeting any individual or group.

2. Appropriate Content

  • No Explicit Content: Do not share obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit material.
  • No Violent Content: Refrain from posting or displaying violent, graphic, or disturbing imagery.
  • Respect Copyright: Sharing copyrighted media (music, video, images) without permission is not allowed.

3. Privacy and Personal Information

  • Protect Your Information: Do not request or share sensitive personal data (full name, address, phone number, financial details).
  • Respect Privacy: Respect others’ privacy—do not record, distribute, or screenshot conversations without explicit consent.

4. Screen Recording & Content Policy

  • Recording Prohibition: Screen recording, saving, or distributing any content from voice/video chats is strictly prohibited without explicit consent.
  • No Recording Without Consent: Recording voice/video calls, taking screenshots, or saving any chat content without explicit permission from all participants is forbidden.
  • Privacy Protection: Respect others’ privacy. Do not share personal details, photos, or content from conversations outside the platform.
  • Legal Consequences: Unauthorized recording may violate privacy laws. Violations result in immediate account termination and potential legal action.

5. Legal Compliance

  • No Illegal Activities: Do not engage in illegal activities, including but not limited to fraud, hacking, or distribution of illicit materials.
  • No Criminal Behavior: Do not promote or facilitate criminal behavior.

6. Prohibited Behavior

  • No Spam or Advertising: No spamming, advertising, or unsolicited promotions of products, services, websites, or social media channels.
  • No Impersonation: No impersonation of other users, public figures, or Catlangu staff.
  • No Automation: No automated scripts, bots, or any tools that disrupt the natural flow of conversation.
  • VPN/Proxy Restrictions: VPN and proxy usage to circumvent bans or regional restrictions is prohibited.
  • No Account Sharing: Accounts are for individual use only. Sharing login credentials or allowing others to use your account is forbidden.

7. Language Learning Focus

  • Educational Conversations: Conversations should focus on language practice, cultural exchange, and educational topics.
  • No Dating or Romance: This platform is for language learning, not dating. Romantic advances or personal relationship solicitation is inappropriate.
  • Cultural Respect: Embrace cultural differences and maintain respect for all backgrounds, religions, and customs.

8. Reporting Violations

  • How to Report: If you encounter rule violations or feel unsafe, use the “Report” feature or contact support@catlangu.com.
  • Provide Details: Provide as much detail as possible (usernames, timestamps, descriptions). Reports are processed automatically.
  • Daily Report Limit: Each user can submit up to 3 reports per day to prevent abuse of the reporting system.

  • We may update these Community Guidelines at any time to reflect changes in our practices or to improve clarity. The “Last updated” date will reflect when changes occur.
